VEHICLE OPERATOR

Blair Senior Services, Inc., the Area Agency on Aging for Blair County and a non-profit organization, is seeking qualified applicants to fill a part-time position located in our Hollidaysburg office.  We provide over 120,000 trips annually to Blair County residents and average 25 vehicles in operation each work day.  As a result of the high demand for service, we’re looking for qualified applicants to transport consumers throughout the county in our Ford F350 Mini-Buses on a part-time basis, two to three days/week. 

Applicants must be 21 years of age or older, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, have a current valid PA driver’s license, a good driving record and have a genuine empathy and respect for older persons and/or persons with special needs.  Applicants must be able to assist consumers using a variety of mobility devices.  The starting hourly wage is $8.72 and we offer an excellent benefit package that includes health expense reimbursement and paid vacation and sick time.

TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST

Blair Senior Services is seeking a full-time Transportation Specialist.  The position is responsible for assisting with the daily operation of an efficient and effective transportation system and with continuous program development to ensure the program meets the needs of our consumers.  The starting hourly wage is $13.11 and we offer an excellent benefit package including a pension plan, paid vacation and sick leave, and the option to participate in our group health insurance plan which the Agency pays 90% of the monthly premium.                               

A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Transportation/Logistics or a related field and one year of relevant experience is preferred.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, advanced computer skills and the ability to perform statistical analysis are also required.
