“Shared-Ride” means that passengers share the vehicle with other passengers traveling in the same direction and at the same time.

Agency drivers provide door-to-door assistance to all passengers. All vehicles are lift-equipped and can safely accommodate and secure most mobility devices.   Escorts are permitted to accompany passengers at a reduced rate when reservations are made in advance. All passengers are required to wear seat belts at all times.

Passengers 65+ years of age will pay between $.50 and $2.30 per one-way trip, depending on trip purpose and total fare.  Persons under the age of 65 should contact the Agency’s Transportation Office for applicable fares and eligibility requirements of other sources of transportation funding.  Drivers collect passenger co-payments as passengers board the vehicle.

Blair Senior Service does not provide same-day service. All individual trip requests must be received, at a minimum, one weekday in advance by 3:00 pm. For example, call Monday before 3:00 pm for a trip on Tuesday. Reservations are accepted and strongly encouraged up to 60 days in advance. The Transportation staff will assist you with the specific pick-up and return times in your area.          

If, at any time, you need to cancel your reservation, please notify the Transportation Office immediately.
